For running enthusiasts, the new year starts in Egmond, during the Egmond Half Marathon on Sunday 11 January 2026. This winter classic is known for its battle against the elements on the challenging course along the North Holland coast and through the North Holland Dune Reserve. The often harsh weather conditions and the shifting tides ensure that every edition is different.
